Thousands Of Vehicles On Pennsylvania Roads With Serious, Unaddressed Recalls

(Pittsburgh, PA) -- A new report from vehicle history site CARFAX shows thousands of cars on the road in Pennsylvania have serious and unaddressed recalls. The records show more than one-hundred-thousand vehicles with notices that fall into the "Do Not Operate" and "Park Outside" classifications are in use across the state, with nearly 30-thousand of them registered in the Pittsburgh area. The company says the recalls span 20 manufacturers and many have to do with faulty Takata airbags reportedly involved in the deaths of almost 20 U.S. drivers. CARFAX spokesperson Patrick Olsen says auto owners can enter their vehicle information on the site to check for outstanding recalls free of charge.
