Pennsylvania Judge Upholds DNA Ruling in Christy Mirack Murder Case

(Lancaster, PA) -- A state superior court judge has upheld a Lancaster County judge's denial to re-test DNA evidence. Raymond Rowe wanted additional tests done on evidence collected at the crime scene where he originally admitted to raping and murdering Christy Mirack. The incident happened in 1992 but was deemed a cold case until new DNA testing led investigators to Rowe nearly 25 years later. He later withdrew his guilty plea but with the judge's denial, now none of the items will be re-tested and Rowe will remain in prison. He has 30 days to file an appeal to the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
