(Harrisburg, PA) -- Leaders at ABF Freight System say they're complying with an EPA consent decree concerning pollution run off from their facilities. The freight trucking carrier says its resolved alleged Clean Water Act (CWA) violations at their transportation hubs, which included discharging stormwater from chemicals, oil, grease and other vehicle fluids. A news release from the government says in addition to beefing up its compliance, ABF is paying a civil penalty of 535-thousand-dollars. The freight company has branches across Pennsylvania including operations in Allentown, Camp Hill, Carlisle and Reading.
