Former Long-Time State Lawmaker to Run for Berks County Commission
(Reading, PA) -- A man who represented Berks County for nearly 20 years in the state House now wants to become a county commissioner. Dante Santoni announced his candidacy Monday at a labor union office in Spring Township. The current list of Democrat primary candidates for commissioner include Douglas Metcalfe, Jess Royer and Isamac Torres-Figueora. Republicans who have filed to run include David Golowski, Maria Bogdanova-Peife, Mark Scott and incumbents Christian Leinbach and Michael Rivera.
