(Harrisburg, PA) -- A lawmaker who's been serving in the state assembly has made history in being elected Pennsylvania's first Black Congresswoman. Democrat Summer Lee won the seat for the 12th District Tuesday night over Republican Mike Doyle. The state election website shows she's garnered about 57 percent of the vote as of Wednesday morning. Lee has been a Pittsburgh-area state representative for the past four years. She will succeed retiring Congressman Mike Doyle.
