>>York Police Look for Suspects' Car After Fatal Shooting

(York, PA) -- Police say a 27-year-old man has died after a shooting in York and they're looking for the suspects who are driving a particular car. The shooting happened Wednesday morning in the 300 block of West Philadelphia Street. When police got to the location, they found a 27-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound but he died from his injuries at the scene. Officials are looking for a gold 2015 Ford Fusion with Pennsylvania registration KCF-0338. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous. 

>> Two Teens Face Arson Charges for Throwing Fireworks in Buildings

(West York, PA) -- Police say two 18-year-olds have been charged with felony arson counts for throwing fireworks into occupied buildings. Justus Gilbert and Yavian Gutierrez allegedly were part of a group that threw fireworks into four different businesses over a three-day-period in May. The businesses included two convenience stores, a Dollar Tree, and the Walmart in West Manchester Township.

(Harrisburg, PA) - Pennsylvania's average gas price is now at $4.94 per gallon according to AAA. Petroleum analysts say even though gas prices are seeing a temporary decrease, drivers should expect them to jump again later in the summer. That's because the reasons that gas prices soared earlier this year, including Russia's war on Ukraine and limited refining capacity, haven't gone away.

>>Former Officer Who Killed Child Now Working In Rural PA

(Tioga Borough, PA) -- The former Cleveland police officer who shot and killed 12-year-old Tamir Rice in 2014 is working in law enforcement again - this time in rural Pennsylvania. Timothy Loehmann has joined a small police department in Tioga Borough. He was sworn in Tuesday. Loehmann was fired in 2016 after an Ohio grand jury declined to charge him for shooting Rice, who was outside of a rec center holding a pellet gun when officers showed up.

(York, PA) -- York State Fair officials have canceled the poultry and bird shows planned for the event. or bird shows at this year's fair. They say the decision was made due to an abundance of caution because of avian flu. The state veterinarian also advised the officials on the matter. The York State Fair is set for July 22nd through 31st.

>>State Lawmakers Still Don't Have Budget Deal - 6 Days Past Deadline 

(Harrisburg, PA ) -- Six days past the official deadline, Pennsylvania state lawmakers are still working on a deal to pass a roughly $42 billion budget. Leaders in both parties have not talked about specific negotiations, but a House Republican spokesperson says they hoped to pass the budget by Thursday. Both the state house and senate reconvened Wednesday.

>>Vehicle Ice, Snow Removal Bill Heads to Governor's Desk

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A measure that would give drivers 24 hours to get ice or snow off their vehicles following heavy storms is on its way to Governor Tom Wolf's desk. Pennsylvania State Senator Lisa Boscola says "Christine's Law" will help prevent deaths like that of Christine Lambert of Palmer Township. She died on Christmas Day more than 15 years ago when a large piece of ice from a box truck and crashed through her windshield.

>>Man Who Fled Police in Cumberland County Has Outstanding Warrants

(Carlisle, PA) -- A man who fled police after a traffic stop in Lemoyne has been found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest. Officers say Shane Brown was pulled over in the 100 block of Market Street in Lemoyne, but quickly gave chase. A short time later he crashed in Harrisburg but was taken into custody soon afterwards. Brown was wanted by Pennsylvania State Parole and officials say he was under the influence of drugs and or alcohol at the time of his arrest. He's being held in the Cumberland County Prison.

>>Guest Hours Expanding at Hershey Park

(Hershey, PA) -- You now have longer to stay and play at Hershey Park. Summer hours are in effect for the tourist attraction and will lasting until Saturday, August 6th. According to the Hersheypark website, from July 11 to July 31, the park will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The park will then go back to an 8 p.m. closing starting on August 1st.  

 

>>Mold Remediation Discussed for Reading Property Inspection Codes

(Reading, PA) -- Reading City Councilors are talking about adding a mold remediation program to the property maintenance inspection code. Mayor Eddie Moran's office says dealing with mold violations can be difficult because there are no set standards at either the state or federal level. The idea was brought before council by a resident during a public comment period a few weeks ago. 

>>New Regulations May be Coming For Antlerless Deer Licenses

(Harrisburg, PA) - The Pennsylvania Game Commission is asking hunters to support a bill that would make it easier to obtain an antlerless deer license. The Game Commission says Senate Bill 431 would amend the Pennsylvania Wildlife Code to where deer hunters could simply purchase their antlerless deer licenses over the counter or at a state website. The bill also would require the licenses to be issued through the state's Automated Licensing System.

>>Job Fair Next Monday for Potential Lancaster County Dispatchers

(Lancaster County, PA) -- Lancaster County-Wide Communications is the centralized answering point for all 911 calls originating in Lancaster County and Monday they'll be hosting a job fair. The event, combined with an open house, will allow potential applicants to learn more about working at the dispatch center and what it takes to manage the stress of the job. The open house will be from 4 to 6 p.m. July 11th at the Lancaster County Public Training Center in Manheim.

>>Roots & Blues Festival Held In Downtown Lancaster This Weekend

(Lancaster Co., PA) -- For the first time ever, the Lancaster Roots & Blues Festival will be held in the summertime this year. Promoters say the event this weekend will offer blues, rock, and soul acts on ten different indoor stages within three blocks of each other. The festival will kick off Saturday, July 9th and continues through Sunday night.

>>Phillies' Bryce Harper Pledges to Return Before End of Season

(Philadelphia, PA) - The Philadelphia Phillies' right fielder and designated hitter says he's optimistic that he'll play again this season. He had surgery last week to stabilize a broken thumb that came from a 97 mile-per-hour fastball when he was at bat against the San Diego Padres. Team officials say the three pins inserted in his thumb will need to stay in for at least another three weeks. His left hand is also in a cast.

  

>>Retired Special Ed Teacher Traveled to Philippines to Have Sex with Minors

(Philadelphia, PA) - A retired special education teacher for the Lower Merion School District will be convicted on multiple child abuse and child trafficking charges. Federal court officials say Craig Alex Levin, who is 66 and from King of Prussia, traveled to the Philippines nine times over a three-year-period to have illicit sex with minor children. Last Thursday, he entered a guilty plea to the charges according to a news release from the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
