(Harrisburg, PA) -- A 20-year-old man from Mifflintown who was a substitute teacher has been arrested for possession and dissemination of child pornography that involved his students. The Pennsylvania attorney general's office is prosecuting Peyton Harris, who taught at Juniata High School and Newport High School and served as the assistant manager for the track team. The A-G's office says Harris took photos and videos of minors engaged in sexual acts without the kids' knowledge or consent at a party he threw for them. The images reportedly were shared with others on social media.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Sheetz convenience stores are lowering their gas prices a bit before the July Fourth holiday weekend. A news release Tuesday says the company will reduce the price of fuel to three-dollars and 99 cents per gallon for Unleaded 88 octane, which is known as E-15, and three-dollars and 49 cents for E85. Sheetz points out that both blends contain more ethanol and aren't recommended for all cars. The prices will be available only through the July 4th holiday travel holiday.

Some eight-thousand elderly citizens have applied for benefits to transit agencies over the past year.

CVS Health also implemented temporary restrictions this week.

(Manheim, PA) -- More testimony and closing statements are expected Wednesday to decide whether a girl should be tried as an adult for killing her disabled sister. Claire Miller was 14 last year when she is alleged to have stabbed Hellen Miller seven times while she slept in their Manheim home. Helen, who was 19, had cerebral palsy and was confined to a wheelchair. On Tuesday, two defense psychiatrists presented testimony on whether Miller could be rehabilitated through psychiatric treatment.

(Reading, PA) -- Reading School District leaders have revealed plans to build a 71-million-dollar high school that will focus on STEM studies. Officials say about 55-million-dollars of the cost will come from the district's COVID relief money with the balance paid for by district capital improvement funds. The 145-thousand-square-foot, four-story building will be built on the site of the former Reading Outlet Center. It's expected to serve about 900 students and is slated to be finished in 2025.

(Lancaster Co., PA) -- Lancaster County Police have charged the Durlach-Mount Airy fire chief with indecent assault. Donald Moyer Junior, who is 42, is alleged to have inappropriately touched a teen girl he knew. A criminal complaint says the reported incident happened two weeks ago at the fire station.

(Manheim, PA) -- A 25-year-old Lancaster County man has been sentenced to serve from 79 to 158 years in prison for sexually abusing four children. Prosecutors say the victims ranged in age from six to ten years old when they were abused over a five-month period last year by Anthony Fox. Authorities say Fox recorded the abuse on video and in photos and possessed nearly 29-hundred digital files.

(Harrisburg, PA) --State Senator Doug Mastriano has gotten preliminary approval for his bill that would publicize the finances of some state-related universities. Senate Bill 488 was unanimously approved by the Senate State Government Committee on Tuesday. The measure would increase the amount of university personnel salary information that must be disclosed in user-friendly, searchable online databases. It would also mandate more access to budget and contract information.
