>>Harrisburg Man Killed In Crash Along 283.

(Dauphin County, PA) -- A Harrisburg man is dead after a crash in Dauphin County over the weekend. State police say the 21-year-old man was killed when he lost control along Route 283 East. The vehicle left the roadway and hit a pole. The cause of the crash is under investigation.   

>>State Police Looking For Suspect In Halifax Township Child Luring Incident

(Halifax Township, PA) -- Pennsylvania State Police are looking into claims of a child luring incident in Dauphin County last week. According to a press release, a man tried to pick up a five-year-old child near the area of Ridge Road and Bunker Hill Road in Halifax Township Friday morning. The man is described as a white male, brown hair, driving a blue car. Anyone with any more information is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police. 

>>Group Suing School Over "Satan Club" Ruling

(York County, PA) -- The Satanic Temple group is suing the elementary school that denied their after-school Satan Club. The Northern York County School Board voted eight-one against the club holding meetings at Northern York Elementary School. A representative for The Satanic Temple says the group is being discriminated against and has a right to assemble at the school. The lawsuit could take up to two years to settle.   

>>NFL Star, Hershey-Native Drops Puck For Bears Finale

(Hershey, PA) -- The Hershey Bears kicking off their regular season finale with a special guest dropping the puck at center ice. The team welcomed NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, Penn State alum, and Hershey-native Micah Parsons to the game for the opening ceremonies. Despite playing high school basketball at the Giant Center for Harrisburg, Parsons had never been to a Bears game. Despite losing to the Syracuse Crunch Sunday, the Bears have the playoffs to look forward to after clinching a spot in the Calder Cup Playoffs.    

>>Senators Take Five Of Six From The Fightin' Phils

(Reading, PA) -- The Harrisburg Senators hot start continues after a winning weekend in Reading. The Senators beat the Fightin' Phils five-three, winning five out of six on the road. That makes seven out of their last eight that Harrisburg's won, as they improve to ten-and-five on the season. They're back home Tuesday for the start of a series with Hartford.                           

>>Nearly 90 T-Shirts Lining Harrisburg Street For Victims Of Gun Violence

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A memorial honoring the victims of gun violence now stands in Harrisburg. A section of North Front Street near the Beth El Temple is now lined with dozens of T-shirts on posts. Each shirt represents someone who has died because of gun violence in the city since 2017. The memorial will be up until May 9th as a stark reminder of the seriousness of the issue. 

>>Holocaust Memorial Day Recognized In Harrisburg

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Community members remember the Holocaust in Harrisburg Sunday. Dozens of people from the local Jewish community and beyond gathered at the Holocaust monument on Front and Sayford Streets in the city Sunday. The annual event features readings of essays for the observed Holocaust Memorial Day. Organizers say it is important to remember those victims and study the history so that it does not repeat itself. 

>>Missing Man Reportedly Fell Into Water Outside A York Bar

(York, PA) -- A man is missing after falling into the Codorus Creek in York Sunday night. York City Fire crews were called about 8:15 to the West Philadelphia Street Bridge near the Old Waterway Bar and Grill. After about an hour, the search was called off. Rescue squads are expected back in the area today to resume the search. 

>>Bishop McDevitt High Hosts 5K For Foster Care Abuse Victims

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Hundreds of people gathering in Harrisburg for an important cause Sunday. It was all of the Superhero 5K and Family Fun Run at Bishop McDevitt High School. The event helps raise awareness for foster children who have been abused or neglected. Money raised through the event will go directly to victims of foster abuse.                                

>>Teen Girl Killed In ATV Crash Was Not Wearing A Helmet

(Perry Township, PA) -- A teenage girl is dead after an ATV accident in Perry Township Saturday. State Police say the 13-year-old was riding the vehicle along the shoulder of Virginville Road just before 6 p.m. The young girl was pronounced dead at the scene. According to reports, she was not wearing a helmet.  

>>Red Cross "Sound The Alarm" Event To Make Homes Safer

(Reading, PA) -- The Reading Fire Department and the PA Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross are working to make homes safer. The Sound the Alarm smoke detector installation event is scheduled for Saturday, April 30th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Any resident needing a smoke detector installed at no charge is asked to contact either the Reading Fire Department or the local Red Cross chapter. In 2021, Pennsylvania recorded the most deaths in house fires in the country.   

>>Five Children Rescued From Deplorable Condition In Williamsport Home

(Williamsport, PA) -- A Lycoming County couple is facing child endangerment charges after five kids were found living in filth. Jeffrey Howlett and Lindy Beck were arrested at their home near Williamsport over the weekend. Police say there was food, garbage, and animal feces were scattered throughout the home. Additional drug charges are pending after what is believed to be methamphetamines were found in the home too. 

>>Dream League Back For Another Of Disability-Friendly Baseball

(Reading, PA) -- The Dream League is back for their fifth season in Reading. Saturday, players and their families came out to Dream Field for the start of another season of disability-friendly baseball. The Dream League, sponsored by Baseballtown Charities, gives athletes of all ages disabilities of all kinds to enjoy the game of baseball. Players from the Fightin' Phils and even the team mascot were there for Saturday's event.

>>Pennsylvania Pot Fest Back In Kutztown This Weekend

(Kutztown, PA) -- Berks County marijuana enthusiasts are renewing their push for legal weed in the state. Thousands of revelers gathered at Renninger's Farmers Market in Kutztown for the Pennsylvania Cannabis Festival Saturday and Sunday. There was live music, discussion panels, and more than 250 vendors on site. Medical marijuana became legal in Pennsylvania back in 2016, but recreational marijuana is still against the law.
