>>PA Republicans Withdraw Legal Challenge to Congressional Maps

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Some Pennsylvania Republicans have withdrawn their legal challenge to the recent selection of a new congressional map. State officials confirm the case was withdrawn without prejudice last week. Those challenging the "Carter Plan" map chosen by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania last month had argued that any state supreme court does not have the power to select a congressional map.

>>Governor Wolf Asks for Support for Family of Fallen Lebanon Police Officer

(Lebanon, PA) -- Governor Tom Wolf is calling for support for a Lebanon City Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty on Thursday. Wolf released a statement saying the commonwealth leadership is thinking about the tragic loss of Lebanon City Police Lieutenant William Lebo who was one month away from retirement. Officials say the 63-year-old was investigating a domestic disturbance when he was fatally shot by 34-year-old Travis Shaud, who was also killed in the exchange. Two other officers also were wounded during the shooting.

 >>Public Hearing Heard Monday on Bill Regarding Parking Near Bike Lanes 

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The state Senate Transportation Committee will hear public comment on parking near bike lanes Monday. Under current law, a vehicle needs to park along a roadway within 12 inches of the curb. The Vehicle Code does not provide an allowance for parking next to bike lanes and House Bill 140 would change that. It's sponsored by Rep. David Maloney Senior of Berks County. 

>>Two People Hospitalized For Sulfuric Acid Exposure In Earl Township

(Lancaster County, PA) -- An incident near an Earl Township water treatment plant Sunday has left two people with burns from a sulfuric acid accident. Lancaster County officials say it happened near the New Holland Waster Water Plant on Custer Avenue shortly after 1:00 p.m. A supervisor with Lancaster County-Wide Communications confirms both people were taken to the hospital and a hazmat crew was called to the scene where it happened. 

 >> Construction Season Includes At Least $71M In Improvements For Lancaster County

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's list of projects for this year's construction season includes at least $71-million worth of road and bridge improvements in Lancaster County. The work includes the start of a widening project for Centerville Road. Also, eight new closed-circuit cameras are also set to be installed in different areas across the area.

>>Man Arrested For Threatening Employees After Placing Biden Sticker On Gas Pumps

(Lancaster, PA) --  East Hempfield Police have arrested a man at a gas station after he caused a disturbance and charged at two employees. The man reportedly placed an anti-Biden sticker on a gas pump at the Turkey Hill store on Columbia Avenue and was yelling profanities about it as he ran toward two employees who'd come outside. Police from several units who'd responded were able to wrestle the man inside a cruiser, reportedly with some difficulty. His name has not yet been released.
