>Ex- Attorney General Cited for DUI Crash While on Probation

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Former Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane has been arrested. State police say she was taken into custody over the weekend for driving under the influence following a crash in Scranton. Authorities have not released her blood alcohol level and it was unclear if a test was done for her. Kane, who is 55, served as the state's attorney general for three years, until she was convicted of perjury and other crimes.

>>Lawmakers Want to Establish a Bridge Trust Fund 

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Two state lawmakers are pushing to establish a trust fund to fix Pennsylvania bridges and other state infrastructure. State Representatives Mike Carroll and Tim Hennessy say they'll introduce the 500-million-dollar fund bill by the end of the month. They're hoping to get the funding in as part of the upcoming state budget negotiations but otherwise the money would come from state budget surpluses or federal pandemic relief funds.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A federal survey Pennsylvania has exported more electricity than any other state in the country. "The Pittsburgh Business Times" relays the commonwealth exported 85 point five million megawatt hours during 2021. The U.S. Energy Information Administration also says the state also is the top generator of natural gas and nuclear energy, as well as third in coal-fired generated energy. 

>>Man Hit By Car While Using Snow Blower

(Westmoreland, PA) -- A man has died after police say he was hit by a truck while he was using a snow blower. The Westmoreland County coroner says Brian Hyde, who was 49 and from East Huntingdon, was struck by a 2019 Dodge Ram. It was going south on Water Street and "failed to negotiate a left curve," then ran over the edge of the street, hitting Hyde. The incident happened Saturday morning. The coroner's office says it's not known if weather, speed or cell phone use were factors.

>>Steelers Reportedly Sign Mitch Trubisky to replace Big Ben Roethlisberger

(Pittsburgh, PA) -- ESPN is reporting that Mitch Trubisky has signed a two-year contract with the Steelers to replace Ben Roethlisberger. The free-agent quarterback had been with the Buffalo Bills and the Chicago Bears before that. He played college football at North Carolina and was drafted in 2017. The Steelers deal is reportedly worth more than 14-million dollars.

 

>>Gas Prices In Pennsylvania Continue To Rise 

(Milford, PA) -- Gas prices in Pennsylvania continue to increase and stay above the national average. According to AAA, the price for a gallon of regular-grade gasoline in Pennsylvania is $4.42, which is above the national average by ten-cents. Gasoline prices in the state have risen ten-cents since last week and 74-cents since last month.

 

>>Ticks Returning Along with Warmer Weather

(Harrisburg, PA) -- State officials say there are many reasons to protect yourself as ticks are returning along with warmer weather. Potentially serious tick-borne diseases such as Lyme disease and deer tick virus can be contracted through tick bites. The deer tick virus, though not as prevalent, has been found this year at high levels for the first time in many locations around the state. The state health experts also say about 12 percent of people with severe disease from ticks die and about half of those who survive suffer long-term health problems. 

>>Drug Court to Host Graduation Ceremony Tuesday

(Harrisburg, PA) -- People who have kicked their drug habits in court-ordered programs will be "graduating" from drug court Tuesday in Dauphin County. Court officers say the program offers alternatives to going in jail for those willing to receive disciplined help for their drug or alcohol addictions. Eight people will celebrate finishing the program at the courthouse in Harrisburg.

 

>>New Regulations Issued for Horseracing in Pennsylvania

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvania State Horse Racing Commission has issued new regulations at its six tracks. Officials say the measures stem from wanting to control illegal or unethical practices that have risen in recent years, such as jockeys betting on others' horses and using drugs to enhance horses' performances. The regulations include a new hotline where tips can be given anonymously to report suspected behavior.

 

>>Fugitive, Prisoners And Young Man Charged With Pandemic Unemployment Fraud

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Two inmates, a fugitive and a 24-year-old man from Cumberland are all being charged for committing pandemic unemployment fraud. The U.S. attorney says the young man from Cumberland was sentenced to 18 months in jail. The two men who are already inmates are waiting for their cases to proceed, while authorities are still looking for Joshua Powles of Philadelphia. All four are accused of using inmates' data to file false unemployment claims to get pandemic benefits. 

>>Managers Working On Getting Passenger Service Back At Williamsport Airport

(Williamsport, PA) -- Management leaders at Williamsport Regional Airport says they're looking forward to the possibility of new passenger service. It's been nearly five months since commercial airliners flew in and out of the facility, mostly due to low travel in the region. The airport's executive director says he hopes to meet with a prospective carrier soon, having previously tried working with United. American Airlines ceased its service in September of last year.

>>Central PA Reserve Troops Deployed to Middle East

(Middletown, PA) -- About 150 reservists from Pennsylvania are on their way to duty in the Middle East. Troop commander Lieutenant Colonel William Ault says the unit has been preparing for their mission for over a year. He says it has been challenging to get this deployment together because many of the soldiers were serving COVID duty in other parts of the state. The reservists will be in the Middle east as observers as part of the U.S.'s multinational force.

(Philadelphia, PA) -- Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is more than just a Pro Bowl NFL player. Kelce performed the national anthem at last night's 76ers game. All of this comes as the Eagles and Kelce agreed to a deal to make him the highest paid center in the league. Kelce is entering his 12th season.

(Philadelphia, PA) -- Defensive help is on the way to the Philadelphia Eagles. Edge rusher Haason Reddick announced that he will be signing with the Eagles. The 27-year-old finished with 11-sacks last season for the Carolina Panthers. Reddick played college ball at Temple.
