(Washington, DC) -- The House January 6th Committee has issued another round of subpoenas Tuesday and one of them has gone to Republican State Lawmaker and Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano. CNN reports the move comes as the house committee digs more deeply into illegitimate electors from key swing states where former President Donald Trump lost. Mastriano was one of several people who Trump reportedly entrusted to try to delay the certification of Joe Biden's victory. The committee wants to know more about his meeting with Trump in November 2020 and his involvement in planning for an alternate slate of electors to be presented.

(Clifton Heights, PA) -- State Police say some of their officers will be offered counseling due to the gruesome nature of a call they answered. They responded to the scene of an apartment complex in Clifton Heights where a Pennsylvania man allegedly used a machete to dismember his former girlfriend. Officers say when they arrived, they found 32-year-old Nicholas Scurria decapitating the woman, whose name hasn't been released. Officers took Scurria into custody and he faces several charges, including first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse. Scurria allegedly told investigators he and the victim had an argument and claimed she tried to castrate him.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The sale and cultivation of ravenna grass, glossy buckthorn and common buckthorn will be banned in Pennsylvania beginning in April of this year. Ravenna grass is also known as hardy pampas grass. The Department of Agriculture added the plants to the state's list of noxious weeds due to their aggressive spread and non-native status. The plants are especially prone to taking over wooded areas and fields.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Harrisburg's City Council has passed the first budget under newly elected Mayor Wanda Williams. Mayor Williams said Tuesday night that with the approval of the 70-million-dollar budget, it's the first time in about eight years that it has been both balanced and has a surplus. The general fund budget also will not increase taxes. Final argument points for funding included public safety, neighborhood services and utilities as well as possibly revamping the council's chambers. The budget also includes funding for a mobile command police station that costs between 500 and 800-thousand dollars.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- State health officials say new coronavirus cases are hitting low levels that have not been seen in six months. At WellSpan Health, officials there say there were 550 COVID-19 patients across the system a month ago. Now there are 225. There were nearly 25-hundred new cases in the whole state as of Tuesday. But health experts say they're cautiously optimistic. They believe the concern now lies in the possibility that another major variation could come into effect soon.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Pennsylvania officials say the state's Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grant Program will be the distributor of federal stimulus money to support EMS efforts across the state. Last week, the House and Senate approved 25-million-dollars in federal stimulus funding for that purpose. Projects eligible for funding include construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, purchase or repair of equipment, training, or reduction of existing debt. This year, the funding may also be used to offset revenue loss due to limited fundraising opportunities resulting from COVID-19 restrictions.

(South Whitehall Township, PA) -- The parent company of Dorney Park in South Whitehall Township has reportedly rejected an offer to be bought by SeaWorld. Cedar Fair L.P., which owns more than a dozen amusement parks, including Dorney Park, has said "no" to the offer to buy the company, according to media reports. Dow Jones Newswires has reported that SeaWorld released a statement late Tuesday that read: "Unfortunately, we do not see a path to a transaction." Reuters reported this month that SeaWorld had offered to buy Cedar Fair for $3.4 billion in cash. Cedar Fair's parks, in addition to Dorney Park, include Cedar Point in Ohio and Knott's Berry Farm in California.

(Lancaster, PA) -- The Lancaster County District Attorney's Office says a man will spend up to 10 years in prison after being found guilty of sexual assault charges. The Lancaster County DA's office says Jesus Rosario was working as a taxi driver when he picked up a woman to take her back to her apartment in July 2018. Then they say Rosario went into the home to help her with her belongings when he assaulted her. Charging documents say audio and video recordings found that he came in uninvited. Rosario had been free on bond until his sentencing Tuesday.

(Lancaster, PA) -- Police have charged a Columbia man with three felony counts of aggravated assault and related offenses after he allegedly pulled a knife on an EMT who was trying to help him in an incident in Lancaster Saturday night. Jeremic Medina-Dorta, who is 27 has been charged and is being held after he allegedly tried to punch an EMT technician and knife a police officer. The incident happened in the area of North Arch and West Walnut streets after someone had called an ambulance for him because he said he'd hurt his foot and was on LSD. Police managed to disarm Medina-Dorta. They say he also damaged the stretcher he was on, valued at $20,000, and also a police officer's holster. Medina-Dorta's preliminary hearing has been set for February 23rd.

(York, PA) -- Northern York Regional Police say a 51-year-old man has died after a single-vehicle crash. It happened Tuesday morning in the 5,200 block of Route 216/Blooming Grove Road near Glenville in Manheim Township. The man's Ford pickup truck had veered off the road while traveling westbound. It struck a guide rail and hit a utility pole before it went over an embankment. The man had to be extricated from the truck. He was flown to York Hospital where he died from his injuries. His name has not been released, but officials say he was from the New Freedom area.

(Reading, PA) -- Pennsylvania's Highway Safety Law Awareness runs the week of February 20th but officials want people to remember the laws remain in place all year long. Preliminary data shows deaths on state roadways in 2021 have increased by as much as 10 percent. The full 2021 crash data is expected to be available to the public online by early June. Areas this year's Safety Awareness week will be focusing on include texting and other kinds of distracted driving, seat belt use, impaired driving and speeding.

(Selinsgrove, PA) -- An EMS worker and Fire Company Chief were struck by a car driven by a woman who they were trying to treat for a reported overdose. It happened late last week on North Susquehanna Trail in Selinsgrove when 34-year-old Marisa Liddington of Middleburg allegedly fled the scene. Officials say she struck the two responders and led troopers on a brief chase. Liddington reportedly was in possession of controlled substances after troopers took her into custody.

(Philadelphia, PA) -- James Harden feels like he's the missing piece to the puzzle for the Philadelphia 76ers. He spoke to the media yesterday for the first time since he was traded to Philly last week. Harden said that Philly was his first choice even before he was traded from the Houston Rockets to the Brooklyn Nets a few years ago. The All-Star added that he's blessed and happy to be in the city of brotherly love. Harden will not suit up until at least late next week.
