(Harrisburg, PA) -- A Pennsylvania court has declined to block an entire subpoena to state election officials. The case revolves around what Republican state lawmakers call a "forensic investigation" of 2020's presidential election, fueled by former President Donald Trump's baseless claims that Democrats stole the election. But the statewide Commonwealth Court that issued the seven-page order did not immediately approve either of the release of some information. That part mainly concerns what Democratic state Attorney General Josh Shapiro has challenged as being protected by privacy laws.

(York, PA) -- City police are considering the death of a 15-year-old boy who was shot in the head "suspicious," but York County Coroner Pam Gay had not yet ruled on the manner of death. She says that will be made pending an additional investigation. The coroner has identified him as Michael Caster. Police went to a home in the 600 block of West Philadelphia Street early Saturday for reports of a shooting. They found the teen dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound. Police said the circumstances surrounding the shooting are considered "suspicious" as there were other people in the home at the time.

(York, PA) -- State police say a 51-year-old man is cooperating with them following a shooting death late Monday morning between he and another York County Man. Police say the two armed men who knew each other were in the area of Wolfe Road and East Forrest Avenue in Shrewsbury when they began arguing inside a car. A single shot was fired from inside the vehicle and hit 57-year-old James Anthony Lynch of Shrewsbury. He died at the scene. The York County coroner says an autopsy will be performed on his body Tuesday.

Saget was most known for his role as America's Dad on the sitcom Full House and as host of America's Funniest Home Videos.

John Luckhardt is a former American football player and coach. The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame unveiled its 2022 College Football Hall of Fame Class during an announcement Monday on ESPN.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Legislation that emphasizes that all public school students learn how to read by fourth grade has won passage in the state House of Representatives. The bill, which passed Monday by a 201-to nothing vote, would require the state Department of Education to establish a teacher training course in the "science of reading," starting next school year. It was sponsored by Republican Representative Jason Ortitay of Allegheny County and now goes to the Senate for consideration.

(Middle Paxton Township, PA) -- A 69-year-old man who was blind and perished in a fire Monday morning is being remembered as someone who was well-loved in the community. Dauphin-Middle Paxton Fire department officials say when crews arrived, 95 percent of Craig Main's home on Lanshill Lane was already well involved. As of Monday, police have not released any information on a possible cause of the fire but did say it was not suspicious. The state police fire marshal is investigating. Police have not released Main's cause of death but said no foul play is suspected.

(Sunbury, PA) -- A Lebanon County man has been sentenced to an additional 10 to 21 years in state prison for striking and attempting to sexually assault a female counselor at the Coal Township State Prison. Dustin Michael Cornelius, who is 24 and from Richland, was charged with striking the drug and alcohol specialist counselor on the back of the head with a master lock and trying to sexually assault her. The incident took place at the prison in 2019. The sentence imposed this past Friday will run consecutive to the 2 to 10-year term Cornelius currently is serving from Berks County for recording and assaulting a 14-year-old girl in a bathroom.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- City police say a woman remains in stable condition in the hospital after being shot by a man's ex-girlfriend Sunday. Tara L. Melhorn faces charges of attempted homicide and aggravated assault in connection with the shooting in an apartment area behind the Market 24 store on North Second Street. Melhorn allegedly shot the woman as she reportedly was in the middle of a sex act with her ex-boyfriend. Court records show the ex-boyfriend told police the victim was on top of Melhorn when she fired one shot, hitting the victim in the stomach.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is inviting the public to view an online display regarding a bridge replacement project. The Route 3038 (Bridge Valley Road) bridge project is planned in Martic Township, Lancaster County and involves replacing the bridge carrying Bridge Valley Road over a tributary to the Susquehanna River. The project is about a half a mile south of the Village of Pequea. It's currently in the design phase and construction work is expected to take place in the 2023 season. A digital version of the proposal will be available online on PennDot's website through February 7th.

(Lancaster, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire is suing the U.S. Small Business Administration. That's after the Ren Faire was denied five-point-eight-million dollars in pandemic relief funds. "The Philadelphia Inquirer" says the popular event brings about 200-thousand people to the Lancaster area each year. Ren Faire organizers say revenue fell more than 70-percent at one point in 2020. They say the SBA did not say why it denied the funds and is asking a federal judge in Philadelphia to step in.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The pandemic is being blamed, or credited, depending on your perspective, for record alcohol sales in Pennsylvania. According to the Liquor Control Board, alcohol sales have hit a record two point nine billion dollars in sales in 2021. That's almost a 14-point jump from the year before. Tequila sales shot up by more than half. The sales data relayed purchases of more expensive premium brands jumped 81% and the top liquor in nearly every county was unflavored vodka. Whiskey was a distant second.

(Muncy, PA) -- Gasoline prices edged upward last week, driven primarily by the price surge in crude oil, which is closing in on $80 per barrel. That height is being seen again due to unrest on the other side of the world in oil-producing areas near Russia including Kazakhstan. In Pennsylvania, the current average is $3.52 for a gallon of regular unleaded. It was four cents higher a year ago.

That's because museums in the city are starting to require folks to be vaccinated to enter. Later this month, the Barnes Foundation and the Philadelphia Museum of Art will also require guests to be vaccinated upon entry.
