>>Attorney General Files Lawsuit Against GOP For Election Investigation Subpoenas
(Dauphin County, PA) -- Pennsylvania's Attorney General is filing a lawsuit against Republican leaders for the subpoenas they issued as part of their "forensic investigation" of the 2020 election. Last week, a GOP-led Senate committee voted to issue subpoenas to gather personal information, including Social Security numbers, from voters and records of communication between state and county election officials. Attorney General Josh Shapiro says the right to keep personal information private is guaranteed in the state's constitution and has been upheld by our state Supreme Court. He added that he plans to argue in court that these subpoenas violate those rights.
