Raymond Rowe has had a change of heart.
The Lancaster County man pleaded guilty in January of 2019 to the rape and murder of Christy Mirack close to three decades ago. But now, Rowe is asking for a new trial. He says he's innocent of the charges.
The 52-year-old Rowe was in court in Lancaster on Thursday challenging his conviction under the Pennsylvania Post Conviction Relief Act.
He's arguing he had consensual sex with Mirack and that someone else killed her.
Rowe also claims his defense attorneys were more like a prosecution team. He says they came to him day after day telling him to plead, plead, plead.”
