>>Dauphin County Man Found Guilty Of Sexually Assaulting Teen

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A Harrisburg man is going to be spending some time behind bars for sexually assaulting a teenage girl. A Dauphin County jury found Michael Strunk guilty of sexual assault, indecent assault, aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors. His sentencing is scheduled for October 13th as he is held in Dauphin County Prison on 120-thousand-dollar bail.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A Harrisburg man who was on the run for 17 years is now behind bars. The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force arrested Timothy Harmon on Friday at a home in Macon, Georgia. He was wanted for charges of aggravated indecent assault of a child, rape of a child less than 13-years-of-age and other related offenses that stemmed from two incidents in 2003 and 2009.

(Reading, PA) -- The LGBT Center of Greater Reading is going to be opening a second service location in the city. The new satellite facility will be located in the Calvary United Church of Christ along Centre Avenue. Officials say the second location will provide services, advocacy and support to the organization's community, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony is expected to take place next month.

(Manheim Township, PA) -- A Lancaster County man is behind bars for allegedly selling fentanyl to someone who later died of an overdose. Twenty-year-old Noel Thompson was arrested recently and is being charged with drug delivery resulting in death. Police say Thompson sold fentanyl to the victim last November in the 400-block of Revere Road in Manheim Township.

(Lancaster, PA) -- A Lancaster County man is going to be spending a lot of time behind bars for sexually assaulting a young girl over the span of 12 years. Juan Melo was found guilty on Friday of rape of a child and other related offenses. Detectives say Melo sexually assaulted a young girl at multiple locations in Reading between 1997 and 2009.

>>Exeter Township Police Searching For Burglary Suspect

(Exeter Township, PA) -- Exeter Township Police are looking for a man accused of stealing from a home. The incident happened earlier this month at a home in the 33-hundred-block of Perkiomen Avenue when the suspect entered an enclosed back porch and took several items. The suspect is being described as a white man with a beard and a tattoo on the right side of his neck. Anyone with any information on the burglary is being asked to contact Crime Alert Berks County

>>Pennsylvania Appeals Court Upholds Closing Of Restaurant For COVID Violations

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A state appeals court is ruling against a Pittsburgh restaurant that was closed for disobeying the governor's COVID-19 restrictions. Last July, the governor issued a mask mandate for restaurants, and The Crack'd Egg was ordered to close in August after disobeying health orders. The Allegheny County Health Department then learned of the owner's intent to reopen anyways after being ordered to close, and a county court then ordered a preliminary injunction to close it. The Crack'd Egg challenged the preliminary injunction, but the Commonwealth Court ruled against them again saying the judge was justified.

>>Man Pleads Guilty To Murdering Amish Teen

(Lancaster, PA) -- A man charged with the murder of an Amish teen is pleading guilty. Officials say Justo Smoker pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murdering Linda Stoltzfoos and was sentenced on Friday to 35-years-and-a-half to 71-years in prison. The teen first went missing in June of 2020, and it wasn't until April of this year that investigators were able to find her remains, with the help of Smoker as part of his plea deal. Smoker also pled guilty to charges of abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and possession of an instrument of crime.

>>Pennsylvanian Wins Bronze In Tokyo

(Undated) -- A York County swimmer is making Pennsylvania proud. On Saturday, Hali Flickinger competed in the Women's 400-meter Individual Medley and finished in third place, earing her a bronze medal. In second place was another swimmer from the U.S., Emma Weyant, and in first was Japan's Yui Ohashi.

>>Luzerne County Man Allegedly Assaulted, Branded Two Teens

(Shickshinny, PA) -- A Luzerne County man is in custody for allegedly assaulting two teens and branding them. Police say on Saturday night, Jonathan Evans allegedly held the two teens at knifepoint in Shickshinny before beating them with a rod. He then branded the 15- and 14-year-old with a heated-up pocket knife. The teens were taken to the hospital and are expected to be okay. Evans was arrested and is being held in Luzerne County.
