(York, PA) -- The York County Prison will no longer be holding immigration detainees. Prison officials announced yesterday that they couldn't reach a deal with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to continue housing the detainees. The prison has been working with ICE for the past three decades, and now ICE has until August 12th to vacate the property. County officials say they are putting plans together to use the vacated space for probationary and reentry services in the future.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The mother who was struck by a stray bullet during a gunfight in Harrisburg is dead. The 28-year-old woman passed away yesterday, three days after she and her six-year-old son were caught in crossfire in the 14-hundred-block of Berryhill Street. Officials say her son has been treated for his injuries and was released from the hospital. Police are still searching for a 2016-to-2020 white Kia Optima that they believe was involved in the shootout.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- COVID-19 cases are slightly increasing in Pennsylvania. The state's Department of Health reported 186 new positive cases yesterday. There are 313 people hospitalized with the coronavirus, and of those cases, 59 patients are being treated in the intensive care unit.

(York, PA) -- A man who was wanted for allegedly shooting a 13-year-old boy in York City is now behind bars. The York City Police Department announced yesterday that Darryl Peeples was arrested by Dekalb County Police in Georgia for the attempted homicide incident that happened in the one-hundred-block of South Newberry Street in March. Police say Peeples will be extradited back to York for questioning.
