(York County, PA) -- State Senator Amanda Cappelletti is planning on introducing a bill that would let teenagers decide on the COVID-19 vaccine. The bill would give teens aged 14 to 17 the ability to decide if they want the vaccine or not, which is typically decided by the parents. Cappelletti says this would help younger people learn about affirmative consent, bodily autonomy and how to have conversations with primary care physicians. She added that through this, we can better address vaccine hesitancy, which will hopefully result in higher vaccination rates.
