>Cumberland County Judge Thomas Placey Resigns

(Carlisle, PA) -- Cumberland County Judge Thomas Placey is stepping down from the bench following controversy surrounding his judicial conduct. The Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board dropped some counts of the complaints against Judge Placey after he resigned yesterday. Board officials say Placey possibly violated the state's code of judicial conduct for his angry outbursts in the courtroom that gained attention last year.

(Hershey, PA) -- Legendary rock group Guns N' Roses is going to be performing in Hershey this summer. The band is scheduled to perform at Hersheypark Stadium on July 31st. Tickets will go on sale to the public this Friday at noon.

>>Three Men Arrested After Weekend Incident In Dauphin County

(Susquehanna Township, PA) -- Three men are behind bars following a weekend incident in Dauphin County. Officers reported to a shots-fired call in the 2,300- block of Walnut Street in Susquehanna Township on Sunday morning. Police say a woman claimed she was being held captive with a gun to her head, and a man told officers he had been pistol-whipped by another man. The three men are facing multiple charges including aggravated assault, simple assault, unlawful restraint, recklessly endangering another person and drug paraphernalia.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A Harrisburg automobile recycling and e-commerce parts business is operating at a new location in the city. Hebron Incorporated is relocating from its facility along Seventh Street to a new 30-thousand square-foot facility on Alricks Street. The company has been in business since 2010.

(Muhlenberg Township, PA) -- Tower Health is going to be expanding its hours for the COVID-19 vaccine clinic. The clinic is now open from eight-in-the-morning until eight-in-the-evening on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and from eight-in-the-morning to five-in-the-afternoon on Thursdays and Fridays. The clinic will be operating on Saturdays from eight-in-the-morning until noon. It is located at one-thousand Tuckerton Road in Muhlenberg Township, and officials say appointments are available, but not required to get a dose of the vaccine.

>>Berks County Officials Investigating Child Lead Poisoning

(Reading, PA) -- Berks County officials and doctors are coming together to address the growing problem of child lead poisoning in the area. According to a new report released from Fight Crime: Invest In Kids, Berks County has the third-highest number of children poisoned by lead in the state, which is about 500 kids a year. Officials say the county has applied for 80-million-dollars in American Rescue grant money that will be used to help fix the issue.

(Lancaster, PA) -- Lancaster General Health Blood Donor Center are encouraging people to donate blood this month. The center will be available from ten-in-the-morning until seven-thirty-in-the-evening on Mondays, from eight-in-the-morning until four-in-the-afternoon on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from eight-in-the-morning until six-in-the-afternoon on Wednesdays and Fridays. You can schedule an appointment online by going to the Lancaster General Health's official website.

(Reading, PA) -- The Hispanic Center of Reading and Berks County is finally allowing people inside after it was forced to cancel all in-person appointments last year because of the ongoing pandemic. The center located at 501 Washington Street in the city reopened Monday. Officials say that appointments are required to visit the building, and everyone must wear a mask while in the office.

>>Reading Man Accused Of Shooting Another Man Over The Weekend

(Reading, PA) -- A Reading man is now behind bars for allegedly attacking two men in the city over the weekend. Jamie Acevedo was taken into custody yesterday. He is being accused of hitting a 23-year-old victim in the head with his gun before shooting a 31-year-old man in the chest at an apartment in the one-hundred-block of North Fifth Street on Saturday evening. Officials say Acevedo is facing several charges including attempted homicide and aggravated assault.

>>COVID-19 Hospitalizations Fall In Pennsylvania

(Harrisburg, PA) -- State health officials say fewer than one-thousand hospitalizations due to COVID-19 are currently reported in the state. They say this is the lowest number of hospitalizations since the end of last September. Yesterday, 989 Pennsylvanians were in the hospital because of the virus. That's a drop of 41 from Monday.

>>House Fire In Schuylkill County Seriously Injures One Resident, Kills Two Dogs

(Tamaqua, PA) -- Fire officials in Schuylkill County say a fire that seriously damaged a home and sent one resident to the hospital was probably accidental. The fire broke out in the house on West Cottage Avenue in Tamaqua Monday night. Five people were in the house at the time of the blaze. A 17-year-old had to be airlifted because of significant injuries he suffered after jumping from a second-story window. Fire officials say two dogs that lived in the house did not survive. 

>>Stray Cat Mistaken For Bobcat Prompts Evacuation Of Pennsylvania High School

(Scranton, PA) -- A stray cat that students and teachers at West Scranton High School thought was a bobcat prompted the early dismissal of classes at the school yesterday. When school officials saw the cat had entered the building, they contacted animal control, who then called the state Game Commission to help corral the cat. As it turned out, the bobcat was actually a stray cat. A really big stray cat but a stray cat nonetheless. It was captured safely and taken to a local animal shelter.

>>UPenn Requiring Vaccines For All People On Campus

(Philadelphia, PA) -- Everyone on campus at the University of Pennsylvania will need to be vaccinated this fall. It's an update to the previous requirement of only the students needing to be vaccinated. Faculty and staff were notified of the changes yesterday, and the requirement also includes post-doctoral trainees. All employees must be vaccinated by the first of August.

(Philadelphia, PA) -- Game-five for the Philadelphia 76ers and the Washington Wizards is set for tonight. The playoff series returns to Philadelphia after the Wizards beat the Sixers on Monday night in D.C. Team officials say that there will be no capacity limits for tonight's game as the city dropped all related restrictions this morning. Tipoff is set for 7 o'clock from Wells Fargo Center.
