She says that her platform will center around increasing the rate of set asides for women and minority-owned businesses by at least 25-percent.

(York, PA) -- Police are investigating two separate shootings that happened in York over the weekend. Both shootings occurred Saturday night on Poplar Street; one was in the one-thousand-block of East Poplar Street and the other took place in the 700-block about five hours later. A 17-year-old boy and a 26-year-old man are being treated at the hospital for multiple gunshot wounds. (West Hanover Township, PA) -- One man is dead after a car accident in Dauphin County. The crash happened Friday evening on Interstate 81 in West Hanover Township. Authorities say a vehicle collided with another after it crossed over the center median. A 49-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Justin Burke had ten prior sexual assault allegations and several other convictions, leading the judge to sentence him to ten-to-20 years in prison. The bald eagle was found shot and killed last month in a parking area off Mountain Road in Tilden Township. (Muhlenberg Township, PA) -- Parents in Muhlenberg School District are expressing their grievances against remote-learning. A protest took place this past Friday in front of the administration building. Some parents say they feel their children are missing valuable educational experiences because they are not in the classrooms. District officials say they are monitoring CDC guidelines as there were over 80 staff members who tested positive for COVID-19 at the end of the first marking period.

(Auburn Borough, PA) -- Hundreds of people in Schuylkill County are under a health advisory after a water supply tower was vandalized. Auburn officials say yesterday morning, they found two sets of footprints which led them to discover that the vent on top of the town's water supply tower was torn off, leaving it exposed. Officials say they don't know if the water was contaminated by the two suspects, but they want to be on the safe side by issuing a "do not consume" advisory for the town of Auburn. This order impacts about nine-hundred people. Officials are testing the water to make sure it is safe, but it could take another day or two. They plan on notifying water customers when they finish their tests.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Pennsylvania is going to remain under a disaster emergency for another 90-day period. Governor Tom Wolf signed the disaster declaration on Friday for the fourth time since the pandemic began. Wolf says we are still in the early stages of the vaccine administration. He added that the renewal of the declaration will allow the state to maintain its response against COVID-19 and support testing, contact tracing and vaccination efforts. The fourth installment of the disaster declaration is set to last until May 19th.

(Beavertown, PA) -- Officials are confirming that a Beavertown firefighter passed away in the line of duty yesterday morning. Rescue Hose Company 20 in Beavertown made the announcement yesterday on their Facebook page, saying they lost their fellow firefighter while responding to a chicken farm fire on Parthemer Road. Officials have not released any other information on the firefighter or the incident.
