>>Hersheypark Set To Begin 2021 Season

(Hershey, PA) -- Hersheypark is preparing to begin its new season this year. The park announced Friday that it will be opening on April 2nd. Officials say the park is going to have a new ticket offer and three new culinary experiences in its Chocolatetown region. Tickets can be purchased on Hersheypark's website.

>>Mural Honoring Black Women On Display In Lancaster

(Lancaster, PA) -- A mural that honors black women is now on display in downtown Lancaster. The mural called Protection was unveiled at the Ware Center over the weekend. It was created by the Lancaster L-B-G-T-Q-Plus Coalition and artists Kearasten Jordan and Pilisa Mackey. The mural represents the need for protection of Black women and can be seen from North Prince Street.

>>Car Accident Kills Elderly Woman In Springettsbury Township

(Springettsbury Township, PA) -- An elderly woman is dead after a two-vehicle accident in Springettsbury Township. The accident happened at the intersection of East Market Street and Mills Street Saturday afternoon. Police say a silver Mazda was attempting to make a left turn before it crashed into a black Ford truck. A 93-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but later passed away due to her injuries. Anyone with any information on the crash is being asked to contact the Springettsbury Township Police Department.

>>Harrisburg Church To Be Turned Into Apartments

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A church in Harrisburg is going to be turning into apartments. Officials announced over the weekend that the First Harrisburg UMC located at 260 Boas Street will be redeveloped into eight apartments. The building will feature one bedroom apartments as well as a community room, a gym area and basement storage.

>>Steelton Man Arrested For Aggravated Assault In Domestic Violence Incident

(Steelton, PA) -- A Steelton man is now behind bars for allegedly attacking someone during a domestic violence incident. Police responded to a call at a home in the 500 block of South Second Street over the weekend. Edward Wright Junior was arrested at the scene and is being charged with aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, endangering the welfare of children and resisting arrest. He is currently being held at the Dauphin County Prison, and his bail is set at $75,000.

>>New COVID-19 Cases Rising In Pennsylvania

(Harrisburg, PA) -- New COVID-19 cases are on the rise again in Pennsylvania. The state's Department of Health reported more than 4,700 new positive cases yesterday. The total number of cases in the state has now surpassed 870,000 since the beginning of the pandemic.  

70 more people passed away due to complications of the coronavirus.

>>Barber Shot In Lower Paxton Township

(Lower Paxton Township, PA) -- A barber is being treated at the hospital after a shooting at their shop in Lower Paxton Township. The shooting happened Saturday evening at the G-Q Barber Shop on Locust Lane. Police say the barber was cutting hair before a man wearing a ski mask walked inside the shop and began opening fire. The victim was taken to the hospital for multiple gunshot wounds. Anyone with any information on the shooting is being asked to contact the Lower Paxton Township Police Department.

>>Tractor Trailer Crash In Dauphin County Kills One Person

(East Hanover Township, PA) -- One person is dead after a tractor trailer crash in East Hanover Township. The accident happened yesterday morning on Laudermilch Road just north of Cold Drive. Police say a tractor trailer lost control on the snow covered road and struck another tractor trailer head-on. One driver wasn't injured in the crash, but the other driver was pronounced dead at Hershey Medical Center. Pennsylvania State Police are still investigating the accident.

>>Susquehanna Township Man Arrested For Allegedly Making Sexual Advances On Minor

(Susquehanna Township, PA) -- A man from Susquehanna Township is being accused of making unsolicited sexual advances on a minor. Elwood Wetzel was arrested a little after midnight on Friday after he allegedly gave a young girl alcohol and made sexual advances towards her. He is listed as a sexual offender on the Megan's Law list and is currently being held at the Dauphin County Prison on ten-thousand-dollar bail.

>>Missing Endangered Teenager In Susquehanna Township Found Safe

(Susquehanna Township, PA) -- The search for a missing endangered teenager in Susquehanna Township is over. Police confirmed over the weekend that 14-year-old La'Nyzhia Stringer was found safe and returned home. She was originally reported missing Friday morning after being last seen in the 32-hundred-block of Vesta Lane.

>>Cumru Township Hookah Lounge Shooting Kills One Man

(Cumru Township, PA) -- Police in Berks County are investigating a shooting at a hookah lounge in Cumru Township that killed one person and injured three others.

 The shooting happened Friday morning at the Diamonds Lounge in the 300-block of East Wyomissing Avenue. Authorities say the suspect began opening fire inside the lounge after an altercation happened in the parking lot. Four people were taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. One of the victims was a 33-year-old man who later died due to his injuries. Anyone with any information on the shooting is being asked to contact Crime Alert Berks County.

>>Fourteen-Year-Old Boy Accused Of Shooting, Killing Teenage Girl In Reading

(Reading, PA) -- A 14-year-old boy is being accused of shooting and killing a 16-year-old girl in Reading. The shooting happened Friday night in the one-thousand-block of Scott Street. Police say the boy began firing shots at two teenage girls after getting into a fight with them. The 16-year-old victim was taken to Tower Health for a gunshot wound to her chest, but later died due to her injuries. A 17-year-old victim was also transported to the hospital for a gunshot wound to her leg. Officials say the boy will be tried as an adult, and he is facing several charges including homicide.

>>Berks Jazz Fest Delayed Until August

(Reading, PA) -- The 30th annual Berks Jazz Fest is going to take place a little later this year. Organizers announced Friday that the festival is being delayed until August due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was originally scheduled for March of last year before getting rescheduled for April of this year. Organizers say that some scheduled artists will not be able to perform due to the postponement, but new concerts are being planned to take their place.

>>One Child Injured In Lancaster Apartment Fire

(Lancaster, PA) -- A child is being treated at the hospital after an apartment caught on fire in Lancaster. The fire happened yesterday morning at an apartment building in the one-hundred-block of North Charlotte Street. Police say one child was taken to the hospital, and five people were displaced by the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

>>Lancaster Woman Charged For Child Endangerment

(Lancaster, PA) -- A 20-year-old Lancaster woman is being charged with child endangerment after she allegedly left a four-year-old child unattended. Ariana Elizabeth Ford was taken into custody this past Friday and is now facing several child endangerment charges. Police say they found the four-year-old child outside crying in 20-degree weather on Atkins Avenue last week. After a brief investigation, police discovered that Ford had left the child unattended to go to a party.                                      

>>Man Arrested After Holding Police At Bay With Kids Inside A Home   

(Carbon County, PA) -- A Carbon County man is facing several charges after a standoff in Lansford Sunday morning. Police were called to the West Abbott Street home just before 11 a.m. about a man inside with a weapon and children. After police arrived, the man exited the home with a child in his arms but eventually gave himself up. No one was injured during the incident.     

>>More Pennsylvanians Now Eligible For Vaccination

(Harrisburg, PA) -- As the state continues to roll out the COVID-19 vaccine, more than three-million Pennsylvanians are now eligible to receive the first dose. The Pennsylvania Department of Health is providing several resources for residents to find out if they are eligible or not. Additionally, the state health department website has a list of providers administering the vaccine based on residents' location. Visit PA.gov for more information now.    

>>I-80 Closed For Hours After Woman's Body Found Off Exit Ramp Sunday

(White Deer, PA) -- Union County and state officials are investigating after a woman's body was found near I-80 Sunday. State Troopers say the unidentified body was found near the off-ramp of 80 East in White Deer Township. The ramp was closed for hours Sunday after the gruesome discovery. No word on the cause of death just yet. 

>>Man Found Wandering Street With Hand Tied After Altercation Inside Sunbury Home

(Sunbury, PA) -- Police investigating an altercation that started inside a Northumberland County home had to shut down a road for an hour Saturday afternoon. According to reports, police were first called to Arch Street around 3 p.m. about a man running down the street with his hands tied. Investigators said that the man was in a fight inside a home when residents bound his hands before he escaped through a window. The man was uninjured, and according to reports, no charges are being filed.
