(Harrisburg, PA) -- Officials with the P-A Department of Health are adding another 79-hundred-62 COVID-19 cases across the Commonwealth. That brings the statewide total to 571-thousand-551 confirmed or probable cases since the start of the pandemic. There were 231 COVID-19 related deaths reported yesterday, bringing the death toll to 14-thousand-212.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Police are charging two men for their role in a robbery that started with a drug deal gone wrong in Harrisburg last week. Leonard Quattlebaum and William Hawkins are both accused in the incident on the 100-block of South Second Street Friday night. The 29-year-old Quattlebaum and his 20-year-old accomplice decided to rob a third man during a marijuana buy. It’s reported the gun used in the robbery was stolen from Swatara Township. The two are in Dauphin County Prison on 100-thousand-dollars bail.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A Harrisburg man is accused of selling his friend a deadly dose of fentanyl and heroin, leading to his death last year. Jerrod Scott is also accused of stealing Zack Savage’s bank card after his death, stealing 200-dollars. Scott was charged with third-degree murder and other charges on December 7th, but Pennlive reports he wasn’t been arrested as of yesterday.

(York, PA) -- A man from York is accused of lying to state police about his role in a deadly crash in Snyder County earlier this year. Antonio Vazquez is accused of lying what led to the death of motorcyclist Dean Dorman August 6thon Route 204 near Kratzerville. The 48-year-old claimed the motorcycle crossed into his lane of traffic, while the evidence seems to indicate Vazquez’s truck was in the other lane of travel. Vasquez pleaded guilty in September to several charges related to the crash.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Organizers of a food distribution in Harrisburg yesterday say more than one-thousand families were helped just before the holidays. The giveaway, which was donated through a partnership with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and Harrisburg School District, had families drive up to pick up their box of food at three Harrisburg schools and the Latino Center. The next food distributions are set to take place in mid-January.
>>Two Men Charged for Being Involved in September Shooting
(Dauphin County, PA) -- Two men are facing charges for being involved in a September shooting that killed a man in Steelton. Twenty-year-old Mason Quailes from Harrisburg and 20-year-old Shnasia Peterson of Steelton were charged of first-degree murder, second-degree murder and robbery yesterday in connection to the murder of Ismail Lewis. Police say Quailes is in jail for charges unrelated to the murder, but Peterson is believed to have fled. Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is being asked to contact the Dauphin County Police Department.

(York, PA) -- York Police are investigating a shooting that killed an 18-year-old man. The shooting happened Monday night in the 900 block of East King Street. Police say they found 18-year-old Ayuri Jamison at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital, but later died from his injuries. Anyone with any information is being asked to contact the York City Police Department or submit a tip online.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Two regional transit companies in Harrisburg are planning to merge. Capital Area Transit and rabbittransit announced the plans of the merger yesterday. Both companies will change their name to Susquehanna Regional Transit Authority. The merger is going to improve services such as adding a single fare payment system and expanding call center hours.

(Dauphin County, PA) -- A Dauphin County firefighter is dead due to complications of the coronavirus. The Colonial Park Fire Company announced yesterday that Edward F. Hine passed away last week after serving 55 years at the station. He was 79-years-old and the second firefighter at the Colonial Park Fire Company to die from COVID-19.
>>Pennsylvania State Police Seek Horse Donations
(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvania State Police is seeking horse donations to support its mounted patrol unit. State Police asked the community to help in donating horses yesterday in a press release. The horses must be geldings between the ages of five and 15. Police say they are mostly interested in draft and draft-crossed breeds. Anyone who wants to donate is being asked to contact Sergeant Carrie A. Neidigh.
