(Harrisburg, PA) -- A temporary emergency men's shelter is opening in Harrisburg. The shelter is located in Gospel Fellowship Church at 1635 North Seventh Street. It is opening to provide shelter to men in need during the winter snowstorm. The shelter will be open and available from seven-in-the-afternoon to seven-in-the-morning until tomorrow.

(Swatara Township, PA) -- A man is being accused of killing a woman in Swatara Township. Police say they arrested Tristan Nicholson last night for allegedly killing a woman earlier in the day at her apartment on South Harrisburg Street. He is being charged with criminal homicide and is being held at the Dauphin County Jail. The investigation of the murder is still ongoing.

>>Five-Year-Old Child Killed In Lebanon County Crash

(Heidelberg Township, PA) -- A five-year-old child is dead after a crash in Lebanon County. The accident happened Tuesday morning in Heidelberg Township at the intersection of Mountain Road and Heidelberg Avenue. State Police say a single vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree stump before going airborne and hitting a tree. A five-year-old kid was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver was taken to the Hershey Medical Center in critical condition.

(York City, PA) -- York City is issuing a snow emergency until Friday. The city declared the emergency yesterday, and it is expected to last until early Friday morning because of the snowstorm. Officials say that any vehicles parked on snow routes are going to be towed. The city is planning to send out plow trucks and other equipment to assist in clearing and salting roads. Residents are being asked to be careful and stay home while the emergency is in effect.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The state Department of Health is adding 10,049 new COVID-19 cases to the Commonwealth’s total. That brings PA to 519,369 confirmed or probable cases since the start of the pandemic. Health department officials added 278 deaths related to COVID-19 complications Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 13,168 since the start of the pandemic.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- There are just shy of 6,300 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Pennsylvania. That’s the latest total from the state Department of Health, which adds that 1,264 of those patients are in the ICU. Hospitalizations are up by about 5,100 since late September.

(Steelton, PA) -- A man from Steelton is headed to prison for up to 12 years after sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl, leaving her pregnant. Kelvin McLean was convicted two months ago of statutory sexual assault and will have to register as a sex offender for life. The girl had asked the judge to be lenient because she felt the relationship with the 49-year-old was consensual.

(Upper Allen Twp., PA) -- Police in Upper Allen Township are looking for two people they say stole a wallet from a purse at a grocery store last week. It’s believed a woman approached the victim in the store Friday while a man took a wallet from her purse. Investigators released surveillance photos of the two and ask that anyone who recognizes them to contact police.

(Reading, PA) -- Reading Mayor Eddie Moran is declaring disaster emergency for the city because of the recent winter storm. Moran signed the declaration yesterday to provide resources and protection for the health and safety of city residents. He is asking everyone to keep the streets clear and to take advantage of free garage parking. Trash pick-up scheduled today will be delayed until Friday, and Friday's collection is scheduled to happen on Saturday.

(Berks County, PA) -- A Berks County man is behind bars for allegedly being in connection to the overdose of his infant son. State Police arrested the 21-year-old man of Mohnton yesterday. He is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child after a nine-month-old boy was taken to the hospital for an accidental overdose of fentanyl last week.

Police say the weather impacted road conditions and the pileup started around 3 p.m. yesterday between the Loganton and Lock Haven exits. Multiple injuries were reported along with the two deaths. Officials expect to have the roadway re-opened today, but everyone is still urged to stay off the road.

(Tamaqua, PA) -- Several people are displaced as multiple homes caught on fire in Tamaqua. One home started burning around 8:30 p.m. then multiple homes were impacted.
