>>COVID-19 Cases Increasing In Pennsylvania

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Positive COVID-19 cases are increasing in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Department of Health updated its COVID-19 statistics yesterday and added more than 95-hundred positive cases. About 270 more people have died due to complications of the coronavirus as well. There are currently over six-thousand people hospitalized because of the virus, and the state's positivity rate went up to 16-point-two-percent.

>>Governor Wolf Announces All Counties Have Received COVID-19 Antigen Tests

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The tenth allotment of COVID-19 antigen tests is being distributed to about 20 counties who never received the shipment. The Wolf Administration announced yesterday that all 67 counties in the state have now gotten a shipment of antigen test kits. Officials say the test kits can show an antigen on the surface of the SARS-COV-2 virus and detect viral RNA. They are being provided to the state by the federal government.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The President and CEO of the Brenner Family of Dealerships, Michael Brenner, is dead due to complications of the coronavirus. Brenner passed away at UPMC Harrisburg on Monday. He was 68-years old. The Brenner Family of Dealerships is going to be closed today to honor his memory.

>>Man Sentenced To Prison For Shooting Police Officer

(Lower Swatara Township, PA) -- A 49-year-old Mechanicsburg man is going to spend time in prison for shooting and injuring a Lower Swatara Township police officer. Andrew Changhan Park was sentenced to ten-to-20 years in prison yesterday. Park pleaded guilty for aggravated assault, burglary, simple assault and terroristic threats charges after he shot an officer in the leg last year.

>>Fire In Perry County Critically Injures Woman

(Perry County, PA) -- A Perry County woman is being treated at the hospital after a fire at the Mid-Penn Service garage. The fire happened yesterday morning at the garage located in the 19-hundred State Road block of Penn Township. Police say the woman suffered burns and was critically injured after jumping from her second story apartment window. Two other adults, three children and two dogs who were in the apartments above the garage were rescued from the flames, but were displaced because of the damages caused by the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

>>Blizzard-Like Conditions Expected During Forecasted Winter Storm

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Midstate is bracing for a winter storm that could leave behind nearly two feet of snow in some spots. Forecasters believe the weather could bring blizzard-like conditions, dropping the snow rapidly starting this morning. It’s anticipated the blast of winter weather could dump more snow in one day than all of last winter combined.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Governor Tom Wolf is already declaring a disaster emergency ahead of today’s winter weather. The anticipated heavy, wet snow and forecasted high winds are expected to do a number on power lines. Pennlive reports there are concerns the massive storm could impact shipments and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Several communities across Central P-A are getting ahead of the winter weather by declaring a snow emergency. Municipalities in Adams, Dauphin, and York counties have the emergency going into place this morning into midday and lasting until at least Thursday night. PennDOT is also discouraging residents from traveling, if at all possible, during the storm.

(Swatara Twp., PA) -- Investigators are looking for the man behind a bank robbery in Swatara Township, Dauphin County. A man entered the First National Bank on the four-thousand-block of Derry Street Monday afternoon and allegedly demanded cash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Swatara Township police or Dauphin County Crimestoppers.

(State College, PA) -- Penn State head coach James Franklin says his Nittany Lions will not talk about potential bowl games until after their matchup with Illinois Saturday. After starting oh-and-five on the season, P-S-U is set to win their fourth straight against a Fighting Illini squad that just fired their head coach, Lovie Smith. Early bowl game predictions for Penn State include potential games in Charlotte, Nashville, and Phoenix.
