Health officials say yesterday, the state total saw an increase of nearly eight-thousand new cases, pushing it close to 500-thousand. About 54 new deaths related to the virus were added to the death toll, which is at 12,619. Lehigh Valley added 521 new cases to its regional total, bumping it over 28,000.
