>>Berks County PennDOT Preparing for Winter

(Berks County, PA) -- PennDOT in Berks County is preparing for the winter season in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Company officials said yesterday they are implementing COVID-19 safety precautions by keeping their crews social-distancing and limiting sizes of people in rooms. The company is looking to add more snow plow trucks before the winter season really picks up. Temporary seasonal positions with the company are still available and you can apply on the company's website.

(Berks County, PA) -- Some initiatives in the Governor Mifflin area are going to receive grants soon. The Berks County Community Foundation announced yesterday that Russell L. Hiller Charitable Trust funds will be used to support food programs and activities in the area. About seven organizations are going to share almost 24-thousand-dollars in grant funding.

>>Reading Gets Grant for North Front Street Intersections

(Reading, PA) -- The city of Reading is getting a state grant to improve intersections along North Front Street. PennDOT awarded the city over 800-thousand dollars yesterday from its Automated Red Light Enforcement funding. The grant is going to be used to fix outdated traffic signals at the intersections of Greenwich, Oley, Douglass and Windsor Streets.

>>Lancaster County Man Accused of Making Hidden-Camera Videos

(Lancaster County, PA) -- A Lancaster County man is being accused of making hidden-camera videos of a woman and a five-year-old child. West Lampeter Township Police say the man was charged last week with two counts of sexual abuse of children after pornographic images of a child were found on his cell phone. The man also had footage of an adult woman bathing. Police say the videos were taken in secret. He is being held at Lancaster County Prison on 40-thousand-dollars bail.

>>Man Charged After Hammer Attack

(Lancaster County, PA) -- A Lancaster County man is behind bars after allegedly attacking another man with a hammer. The incident happened over the weekend on the first block of Field Lane in Lancaster. Northern Lancaster County Regional Police say two people were arguing before the 33-year-old suspect hit the victim in the face with a hammer. He is being charged with aggravated assault.
