>>One Hurt In Harrisburg Shooting

(Harrisburg, PA) -- One person is hurt after a shooting in Harrisburg over the weekend. It happened early Saturday morning near 13th and Derry Streets with a 20-year-old man shot in the shoulder and taken to the hospital. His injuries aren’t considered life threatening. It’s unclear what may have led to the shooting.

>>Swatara Middle School Closes After Positive COVID-19 Case

(Lower Paxton Twp., PA) -- Officials with Central Dauphin School District say they are temporarily closing Swatara Middle School after a positive COVID-19 case. In a letter to parents yesterday, the student who tested positive was last in the school building on Tuesday October 27th and may have had close contact with other people. Those who are believed to have had close contact are being personally notified.

>>York County Coroner Calls Hopewell Township Man’s Death Accidental

(Windsor Twp., PA) -- York County’s coroner is calling the death of a man from Hopewell Township an accident. First responders found the body of 41-year-old William Stubblebine Sunday morning in a vehicle that had overturned near Grim Hollow and Zion Church roads in Windsor Township. The vehicle was several hundred feet from the road. It’s believed the vehicle was there for an extended period of time.

>>Woman Facing Charges After Dousing Teen With Lighter Fluid In Harrisburg

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A woman is facing child endangerment charges after allegedly dousing a teen with lighter fluid last week in Harrisburg. Tysheda Mitchell reportedly then threatened to light the 14-year-old on fire Tuesday night on the 400-block of Crescent Street. It’s unclear what prompted the domestic incident.

>>Silver Spring Township Police Say Missing Teen’s Back Home

(Silver Spring Twp., PA) -- Silver Spring Township police say a missing teenage girl is back home. Chloe Prinzbach was reportedly picked up from her home early Wednesday morning after positing on social media that she needed someone to break her out. She was spotted near Park City Mall, but its unclear where she was found before returning home.

>>Layoffs Coming To State System Of Higher Education

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Some layoffs are coming for faculty at State System of Higher Education schools. It’s reported that over 100 faculty members will lose their jobs by the end of the academic year. Those who will be laid off were reportedly notified by letter last Friday. In a statement, the State System of Higher Education said they are working to recapture their affordability edge in a competitive marketplace.

>>Firefighter Suffers Minor Injuries While Fighting Berks County Blaze

(Berks County, PA) -- A firefighter is dealing with minor injuries suffered while fighting a Berks County blaze. The apartment fire broke out early Saturday morning on the 900 block of Franklin Street. A caller reported that the fire started in the alley and spread to the building. The rooming house had at least 12 occupants, one who had to be rescued from the rear roof. Officials say the large fire left the building uninhabitable until repairs are made.

>>One Dead, One Injured In Lancaster Double Shooting

(Lancaster, PA) -- One person is dead and another is injured after a Lancaster double shooting. The shooting happened early yesterday morning in the 100 block of East Chestnut Street. Arriving officers found 24-year-old Carlos Bristol with several gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he died. An unnamed 23-year-old Lancaster man was found behind a home on East Chestnut Street with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. An investigation is continuing.

>>Berks Woman Sentenced For Bank Embezzlement

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A 29-year-old Berks County woman is facing prison time for embezzlement. Officials say Morgan Herrera was sentenced Thursday to six months in prison, followed by two years of supervised release. She was also ordered to pay just over $80-thousand in restitution. Prosecutors say Herrera was a personal banker at an S and T location in Harrisburg when she stole over $80,000, opening multiple accounts for CDs. 

>>Coroner Searching for Reading-Area Man's Next Of Kin

(Reading, PA) -- The Berks County coroner is searching for a Reading-area man's next of Kin. Officials say 85-year-old Michael Kline was pronounced dead Friday of natural causes in Reading. The coroner's office is searching for any living relative to make arrangements for Kline.       

>>Kamala Harris Coming To Pennsylvania Today

(Lehigh, PA) -- Just before Election Day, Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris is coming to the Lehigh Valley for a campaign stop. Officials say today, she will be in Luzerne County first, then will head to Lehigh Valley for a drive-in event with Latino voters. Harris will then join her husband in Philadelphia for another campaign stop, meanwhile, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden will be campaigning in western Pennsylvania.

>>President Trump To Make A Stop In Luzerne County

(Avoca, PA) -- President Trump is expected to attend a rally today at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. Officials say the doors will open at 11 a.m., and the rally will start at 2 p.m.

>>Woman Arrested For Abandoning Child On Halloween

(Luzerne County, Pa) -- A Luzerne County woman is behind bars for allegedly abandoning a child on Halloween night. Police say Jesse Stoss abandoned her boyfriend's daughter while they were trick-or-treating Saturday night in West Pittston. The girl is now safe and with a foster family.
