>>Department Of Health Encourages Trump Rally Attendees To Use COVID Alert PA App

(Harrisburg, PA) -- State Department of Health officials are asking those in attendance for President Trump’s rally last week at HIA to use their COVID Alert PA app. They say it’s an easy way to anonymously inform people they had contact with that they could be infected. Trump and the First Lady both tested positive for coronavirus late last week.

>>Two Facing Charges In Deadly Hampden Township Shooting

(Hampden Twp., PA) -- Two people are facing charges after a deadly shooting in Hampden Township last week. Daniel Williams and Crystal Dupert are facing charges in the death of Andrew Konetsco Wednesday night at a home on the 800-block of Admirals Quay. Police say Williams and Konetsco were involved in a fight earlier in the week in which Williams threatened the victim. The two are in Cumberland County Prison without bail.

>>Man Dies Days After Crash In Adams County

(Franklin Twp., PA) -- An 87-year-old man is dead after a crash in Franklin Township, Adams County. Kenneth Diveley was pronounced dead Friday after his vehicle was struck by another car near Cashtown and Chambersburg roads earlier in the week. The death was ruled an accident.

>>Man In Custody In Cumberland County Facing Sexual Exploitation Charges In West Virginia

(Mechanicsburg, PA) -- A man is in custody in Cumberland County after allegedly sexually assaulting a minor in West Virginia. Ryan Banks was arrested on the 700-block of Robert Street last Thursday morning. The 36-year-old is also accused of producing sexually explicit material involving minors, strangulation, and other charges.

>>COVID-19 Strikes Local Elementary School

(Washington Boro, PA) -- COVID-19 has emerged in the Penn Manor School District. School officials announced Friday that someone contracted the virus who works at Central Manor Elementary School. The infected person will not return to the school until they are 100-percent healthy. The school did not close down, but they have contacted anyone who was in close contact with the person.

>>Fatal Crash On I-81

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Two people are dead after a wreck on I-81 Friday evening. Authorities say the crash happened when a Toyota Corolla was speeding down the southbound lanes, and it struck a Toyota Camry. Both vehicles ended up off the road, with the Camry hitting a pole and the Corolla slamming into a concrete barrier. As a result, the driver and passenger in the Camry both died, while no one was hurt in the other car. The deceased victims are identified as 42-year-old Shaun Yuhas and 50-year-old Linda Silva. Anyone with information on this should call the police.

>>Middleburg Man Dies After Accident

(East Berlin, PA) -- A man has lost his life after not surviving injuries from a recent accident. The crash happened when 78-year-old Stephen Miller lost control of his vehicle near Gun Club and East Berlin roads on September 18th. According to police, his car rolled over and hit a second vehicle. Mr. Miller died on Friday at a hospital. Any witnesses should contact the police.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- With less than a month to the general election, Governor Tom Wolf is pushing residents to vote. He is reminding folks that you have until October 19th to register to vote. In addition, you can vote early in-person and sign up to vote by mail until October 27th. The Governor says don't wait, make a plan to vote today. More information is available at votes.pa.com.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Movie nights at the Bandshell are ending this week. Zootopia is the last movie to be shown for families at Reservoir Park. Everyone is encouraged to come out for the free showing and be sure to grab your chairs, blankets, and snacks. Face masks are required, and social distancing is in full effect. The movie will begin Friday at seven o'clock.

(Berks County, PA) -- Election officials are sending out ballots for the November election. Officials say thousands more are being sent out today. Plans are being made to set up two secure ballot drop boxes. 

>>Police Investigating Shooting After Argument

(Lancaster, PA) -- Police are investigating after a deadly shooting in Lancaster. The shooting happened in the 600-block of High Street Saturday night. Police say 40-year-old Josean Martinez was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound, where he died. Investigators say the victim and two other men were in an argument before the shooting. Police say one of the men on the scene has been charged in connection with Martinez's death.

>>Reading Police Arrest Seven After Anti-Violent Crime Push

(Reading, PA) -- Reading Police say seven people are in custody after a push against violent crime. Police announced the arrests for weapons charges Friday afternoon, saying they've seized ten firearms. Reading's police chief says the case is tied to an increase in gun-related crimes in the city. 

>>Reading Science Center Opens On Penn Street

(Reading, PA) -- A new interactive space to help kids explore and learn is open on Penn Street. The Reading Science Center opened over the weekend and is intended to engage kids in science, technology, engineering, and math. Executive Director Mary Chown says the project intends to have a bigger, dedicated space in the next several years. The Science Center is open on weekends, but it is closed for field trips because of COVID-19.

>>Motorcycle Ride Benefits Berks Sheriff's Department K-9 Program

(Berks County, PA) -- A motorcycle ride is benefiting the Berks County Sheriff's Department. The law enforcement motorcycle club the Blue Knights held an event last night, inviting riders from New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Participants enjoyed lunch and a demonstration by a sheriff's K-9 in addition to the ride. Over 200 people took part in the event, and money raised will help with care for the dogs throughout the year.

>>Senator Not Running For Reelection

(Lehigh, PA) -- Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey is expected to announce the end of his career today. The Philadelphia Inquirer cited two sources close to the Republican Senator who allegedly confirmed the decision. Toomey was first elected as Senator in 2010 and was reelected in 2016. His current term is set to end in 2022.

>>Allentown Police To Start National Misconduct Prevention Training Program

(Allentown, PA) -- Some Allentown policemen are starting a national training program next month aimed at preventing misconduct. Allentown's police chief says the department is always looking for new and meaningful training opportunities, and that being selected to participate in the Active Bystandership for Law Enforcement project is a testament to their commitment to policing the community. The evidence-based project was developed by Georgetown Law's Innovative Policing Program and provides police with strategies and tactics to prevent misconduct, reduce mistakes and promote health and wellness. One group from the Allentown Police Department will be participating for now, but the entire police force is scheduled for the same training sometime next year.

>>Home Explodes In Monroe County

(Monroe County, PA) -- Fire crews in Monroe County are investigating the cause of an explosion of a Coolbaugh Township home yesterday around noon. Officials say the fire appears to have started on the first floor of the home, and when they arrived, the windows were blown out. Thankfully, no one was home at the time of the explosion.

>>National Guard Helping Montour County Nursing Home

(Danville, PA) -- The National Guard is helping a Montour County nursing home after a spike in COVID-19 cases at the facility. Officials say there was a growth of 55 cases since last Wednesday, and there are about one-hundred active cases at the Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center mostly in residents. It is not known how long the National Guard will be at the facility.
