(Chambersburg, PA) -- Chambersburg officials are clarifying their decision to step away from the decision process on Halloween. Monday night, the borough council said its stance is now to suggest trick or treat happen every year on October 31st, but it isn’t an officially scheduled borough event. That means Chambersburg won’t announce a rain date or give suggestions on what to do about it during the pandemic.

(Chambersburg, PA) -- There is still no word on who may have pulled the trigger and shot a 35-year-old man in Chambersburg earlier this week. The man was found shot in a parking lot behind a property on West Liberty Street. He was taken to York Trauma for treatment. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact Chambersburg police.

(Lancaster, PA) -- The 21-year-old serving life in prison for the deaths of two Lancaster brothers isn’t getting any relief from the state Supreme Court. Joshua Proper had argued the court process moved too slowly and that the charges should have been dropped. The court ruled that the continuances were at his request so his defense could be prepared to keep him from facing the death penalty. Proper was convicted of stabbing and killing 61-year-old Leroy Kinsey and 62-year-old Richard Walton in February 2017.

(Tilden Twp., PA) -- A tractor-trailer driver from Michigan is admitting to his role in a crash that killed a nine-year-old. Joshua Knight pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle and other charges and will serve up to 23 months behind bars. Authorities said Knight was driving on Route 61 in Tilden Township two years ago when he failed to stop at a red light and crashed into the back of a car, killing nine-year-old Yesier Diaz-Ramirez and injuring four others. Police determined that Knight was texting while driving.

(West Pottsgrove Twp., PA) -- A Montgomery County woman is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a fire company where she served as treasurer. Authorities say Kengra Taylor stole more than 43-grand that belonged to the West End Fire Company in West Pottsgrove Township. She allegedly set up an unauthorized credit card account in the fire company's name in January 2019 and used it to pay for vacations, car loans, and other expenses. Taylor faces multiple felony charges.

(Bern Twp., PA) -- A 29-year-old New Jersey man is heading to trial on charges of first, second, and third-degree murder in the stabbing death of an Air Force veteran in Berks County. Raphael Perez-Rodriguez appeared Wednesday before a magisterial district judge for his preliminary hearing on the criminal charges after allegedly killing Dennis Fink at Fink's home in Bern Township in July. The 76-year-old man's body was later found by detectives in a wooded area near his home on Tully Lane.
