>>C-D School District Selects Hybrid Back-To-School Plan 

(Lower Paxton Twp., PA) -- Central Dauphin School District is laying out its back-to-school plan for the upcoming school year.Monday, the school board decided to move forward with a hybrid plan which would call for two days of in-class learning and three days of remote instruction.Students are being split into two groups to allow for 50-percent capacity in each of the district’s 19 school buildings.

(Middletown, PA) -- T-S-A officials at Harrisburg International Airport say they stopped a woman from Lancaster County from carrying on a loaded 22-caliber handgun.The woman was stopped at a check point with the weapon Saturday August 1st.The woman, who is from Paradise, is being cited on weapons charges.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Harrisburg police are still trying to determine what led to a shooting that hurt one person Sunday afternoon.The shooting happened on the 21-hundred block of Jefferson Street.There’s no word on the condition of the victim, who was taken to a local hospital after the incident.

(York, PA) -- The city of York is bringing all of its furloughed employees back to work.City officials say their public works employees will focus on downtown beautification efforts.The furlough move reportedly saved the city half-a-million dollars. 

>>Lancaster County Coroner Calls York County Woman’s Death Suicide 

(Clay Twp., PA) -- Investigators say the death of a York County woman found at a Lancaster County wildlife area over the weekend has been ruled suicide. The woman in her late 30s was discovered Saturday afternoon on the Spice Bush Trail, about a half-mile from the trailhead in Clay Township.The coroner’s office said the determination was based on her cause of death.

(Millersville, PA) -- Millersville University may be considering faculty cuts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.Administrators say early projections show its enrollment declining by about four percent with an operating loss of nearly eleven-million dollars.It’s reported that the earliest the cuts could happen would be the 2021-2022 academic year. 

>>Police Investigating Death Of Lancaster Man Found In West Lampeter Township Parking Lot 

(West Lampeter Twp., PA) -- Police in West Lampeter Township are investigating the death of a man found unresponsive in a vehicle last week.Travis Work of Lancaster was found in the vehicle parked at the DoubleTree Resort on Willow Street Pike.The 34-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.An autopsy was scheduled for yesterday. 

>>Man In Custody For Lancaster County Double Homicide 

(East Lampeter Twp., PA) -- Police say a man is in custody for a double homicide in Lancaster County last week.Ezequiel Almodovar surrendered to police Friday for the deaths of Johnathan Rivera and Eugenio Morales-Torres.Almodovar allegedly shot and killed the two men in East Lampeter Township, then drove them to Manor Township where he set a vehicle on fire with them inside.Almodovar remains in Lancaster County Prison without bail. 

>>Hersheypark Closes Tuesday Due To Threat Of Isaias 

(Hershey, PA) -- Hersheypark is closing today due to the threat of Isaias.The storm is expected to bring heavy rain to the region, so the Derry Township amusement park is preemptively closing.Hershey Entertainment officials say they are making the move to keep their guests and staff safe.They are expected to reopen on Wednesday. 

>>P-A Department Of Health Adds 565 New COVID-19 Cases 

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting 565 new COVID-19 cases across the Commonwealth.That brings the statewide total to 114-thousand-565 confirmed or probable cases of coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.No new deaths related to COVID-19 complications were reported, with the death toll standing at 72-hundred-nine.
