Bear Breaks Into Car, Shifts It Into Neutral, Rolls Down 100 Foot Hill

A bear in Colorado went for a ride after breaking into a car parked. The Boulder County Sheriff's Office said that bear managed to open the unlocked driver's side door and began scavenging for food inside the vehicle.

While the bear was tearing apart the interior of the car, the door closed and trapped the wild animal inside.

As the bear attempted to open the doors, it managed to butt-shift the vehicle into neutral and sent it rolling down the driveway.

The car rolled downhill for about one hundred feet before it swiped a tree. The collision caused one of the doors to open, and the bear scampered away from the totaled car.

The Sheriff's Office shared a photo of the damaged car on Facebook and warned residents to lock their car doors.
