The Gettysburg Children's Choir and Chamber Chorale will present their 2018 Spring Concert, Prelude to Spring, on Sunday, April 22 at 4 P.M. at First Lutheran Church, 21 S. Bedford Street, Carlisle. Sponsored by the Sunderman Conservatory of Music at Gettysburg College, the young people from Gettysburg and its surrounding communities receive the highest quality vocal training in children's choral music. The Children's Choir, comprised of students in grades three through eight, and the Chamber Chorale, representing students in grades nine through twelve, perform concerts annually in December and in the spring at the Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary Chapel and other regional locations. The singers are conducted by Artistic Director, Brent C. Talbot, who is Associate Professor and Coordinator of Music Education at the conservatory. He is a graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and the Eastman School of Music. Sponsored by Fine Arts at First, the concert is free of admission with freewill donations accepted.
