Broken relationships, divorce, and the death of a spouse can create difficult emotions and situations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Everything has changed and happy memories from past years cannot be recreated.
CROSSFIRE Singles Ministry is offering help and hope in navigating these issues with a seminar entitled “Surviving the Holidays” from the creators of DivorceCare. This one-time FREE seminar will be held Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Crosspoint United Methodist Church, 430 Colonial Road, Harrisburg. The two-hour seminar runs from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM with light refreshments available. Each participant also will receive a Holiday Survival Guide to keep. Everything is FREE.
The seminar is especially for people who are separated or divorced. The format will be a 40-minute video presentation filled with practical holiday survival tips and the real-life stories of people who have navigated the holidays after separation and divorce. After the video, CROSSFIRE facilitator Pastor Dave Dormer will lead some group discussion.
In this seminar, you will learn:
How to deal with the many emotions you’ll face during the holidays
Helpful tips for surviving social events
Ways to give your kids a good holiday experience
How to discover hope for your future
