Allentown's mayor wants charges dropped

Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski is asking a federal judge to drop all of the 54 corruption related charges against him.  Attorneys for the mayor have filed a motion claiming that prosecutors withheld evidence and relied on hearsay during a grand jury hearing.  That hearing led to the indictment of the mayor on charges that include conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and bribery.  Pawlowski has pleaded guilty, with his trial scheduled to begin in January.
