Sentencing in shooting of PSP trooper

A man is going to prison for shooting a state trooper in West Hanover Township.   David Ricker pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five-to-ten years behind bars yesterday.  Prosecutors say Trooper Michael Trotta was investigating reckless driving reports and approached Ricker in his garage.  Ricker, who was intoxicated, pointed an AK-47 rifle at Trotta and the pair exchanged shots. Trotta suffered four wounds to his arm and thigh and Ricker was shot in the stomach.
