Both the victim and the suspect in an alleged kidnapping say the whole thing was a misunderstanding. An alert was issued after officers responded to a burglary call in the 500 block of Concord Lane in Columbia early yesterday morning. Officers were told that a man kicked in the front door and threatened a resident before kicking in an upstairs door and removing another man from the house. Both men say they are a couple that got into a fight, but that both men left the house willingly.
