A call to protect data breach victims in PA

Pennsylvania lawmakers are discussing possible stronger consumer protection laws.  State Attorney General Josh Shapiro spoke about the issue yesterday saying it is time to act in order to protect the interests of Pennsylvanians.   Two new pieces of legislation are scheduled to go to committee next week.  The measures would make sure there is immediate reporting of breaches and also that companies that have been breached can't charge consumers for credit protection.
