The Gardens at John Rudy County Park Open House

Enjoy a morning of free fun and learning. Self guided tours of flower, fruit and vegetable gardens with Master Gardeners on hand to answer questions. Free refreshments, exhibits, tomato tasting and soil pH testing.  Fresh picked produce offered for sale. Fun activities for kids, including a scavenger hunt.  Garden talks and demonstrations by Master Gardeners include:

9:15 a.m.        Preserving Herbs by Carol McDonald

9:45 a.m.        Insects in the Garden by Tim Abbey

10:15 a.m.      Growing Tomatoes by Jerry Cook

10:45 a.m.      Weed Identification by Jay Holcomb

11:15 a.m.      Beekeeping by Morrell Sipe

The gardens are located adjacent to the stone house which serves as York County Parks Administrative Headquarters (just west of the entrance to John Rudy County Park on Mundis Race Road). Event held rain or shine.
