>>PSP Lancaster Join Texas Cold Case Investigation

Pennsylvania State Police in Lancaster County have joined forces with Texas authorities to investigate a cold case involving Roberta "Berta" Mumma, whose remains were discovered over 40 years ago. Mumma, a native of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, was found deceased in Jack County, Texas, in 1984. Her identity remained unknown until genealogy research identified her last year.

According to the Jack County Sheriff's Office, Mumma was a victim of homicide. Her last known location before her death was in Tennessee. Authorities are seeking information from anyone who knew Mumma before her death to help solve the case.

The Texas Rangers and the Jack County Sheriff's Office are committed to finding justice for Mumma and holding those responsible accountable. Anyone with information is urged to contact Texas Ranger Michael Schraub or the Jack County Sheriff's Office.
