15-Year Old Boy Found Dead In Pond After Hours-Long Search

A tragic incident unfolded in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on Sunday (August 3) when the body of a 15-year-old boy was discovered in a pond in Fulton Township. The Pennsylvania State Police and the Rawlinsville Fire Company's dive team responded to reports of a missing child and possible drowning at a private pond near Herr Drive and Peach Bottom Road around 3 p.m.

Robert Fulton Fire Company Deputy Chief Jason Stone confirmed that the boy was found deceased in the pond at approximately 7:30 p.m. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine the cause and manner of death, according to the Lancaster County Coroner.

First responders, including a drone unit from the West Willow Fire Company, assisted in the search efforts. The scene was cleared by 9:18 p.m. The Robert Fulton Fire Company expressed their condolences, stating, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and all involved."
