Man Accused Of Trying To Light Monument On Fire
(Lancaster County, PA) -- A man is in custody for allegedly trying to start a fire at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in Lancaster. Police say 39-year-old Francisco Rodriguez was caught trying to set American flags at the monument on fire this past Saturday. Authorities said Rodriguez also put bags on the heads of statues at the monument, which honors those who fought and died in the Civil War. He faces multiple felony charges.
