Harrisburg Outstanding Trash Bills Total $14.8 Million

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The City of Harrisburg is owed almost 15-million-dollars in outstanding trash bills. City Treasurer Daniel Miller says most of the 14-point-eight-million-dollar total is owed by landlords, and claims Mayor Wanda Williams is allowing them to get away with not paying. Miller is calling for the city to enforce the "Landlord Rental Permit," which requires properties to be current on all utilities including trash service. Mayor Williams says the city's collection officers are contacting businesses with outstanding bills.
