Search Underway for Missing Fire Police Captain in York County

The search for Tony Bortner, Fire Police Captain of Laurel Fire Company No. 1, continues in York County, Pennsylvania. Bortner, 50, has been missing since Thursday and his disappearance is described as "very out of character" by his department. He is from Windsor, Pennsylvania, stands 5-feet, 9-inches tall, and weighs about 220 pounds.

Bortner's red 2008 Subaru Forester was found on Saturday at Lock 12 in Lower Chanceford Township. Since then, search and rescue teams, including K-9 units, have been actively looking for him. The Laurel Fire Company expressed their gratitude for the community's support and urged anyone with information about Bortner's whereabouts to contact the Pennsylvania State Police at (717) 428-1011, as reported by York Daily Record.
