Tankers run out of water fighting large silo fire in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Over a dozen fire and emergency crews were called to the scene of a silo fire in Lancaster County Thursday night.

Emergency dispatchers said the fire was reported around 9:18 p.m. on the 1600 block of River Road in East Donegal Township.

Several more crews were called to the Perdue AgriBusiness location after multiple tankers ran out of water while fighting the fire.

Susquehanna Regional Police were also on scene as Maytown Fire Department worked the fire alongside a number of other agencies.

Nobody was injured, dispatch said.
