A man in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was injured by a gunshot while sleeping in his home early Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on South Ann Street near Dauphin Street. According to the Lancaster City Bureau of Police, the man was asleep in his bedroom when a bullet came through his window and struck him in the hand.
Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple shell casings and bullet fragments in the nearby area. They also observed damage to several homes on the block, believed to have been caused by the gunfire. No other injuries were reported.
The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The police are currently investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact the station at 717-735-3300.
