Amtrak Says Harrisburg Rail Line Project Wrapping Up Ahead Of Schedule

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Officials with Amtrak say their Harrisburg-area improvement work is moving ahead of schedule. The 122-million-dollar project began in March as workers started replacing wooden rail ties with concrete. Amtrak has been using buses to move passengers between Harrisburg and Lancaster but the rail service is expected to resume on November eighth. That is two weeks earlier than originally planned.
