Student Expelled For School Threat

A 13-year-old student in the York City School District, Pennsylvania, is facing expulsion and criminal charges after creating a threat list naming multiple students. The list, which circulated on social media on Wednesday, prompted immediate action from the school district and local authorities.

York City Police identified the student as the suspect behind the threat list, according to a news release. The student has been suspended and is facing expulsion, with charges planned to be filed against them. The police have confirmed that all students named in the threat list are safe.

In response to the threat, the York City School District took precautionary measures, including an increased police presence and the temporary suspension of outdoor activities. These activities resumed after the police identified a suspect.

York City Police Commissioner Michael Muldrow expressed gratitude for the tips and cooperation that led to the quick resolution of the issue. He also noted the juvenile's willingness to take accountability once identified.

This incident is one of several threats that schools around York County have been dealing with in recent weeks. Last month, the Northeastern School District closed its buildings for a day following a threat, and a juvenile was arrested in connection with a social media threat directed at middle schools in the West Shore Area School District.
