Gettysburg College Athletes Suspended For Scratching Racial Slur Into Student
(Gettysburg, PA) -- Two student-athletes at Gettysburg College are being accused of scratching a racial slur onto another student. The college said it is investigating a report that a slur was scratched onto a student's skin using a plastic or ceramic tool. According to WHP-TV, the allegations are against two members of the college's swim team. In a letter sent to students last night, college president Bob Luliano said there is no place on campus for words or actions that demean, degrade, or marginalize someone's identity and history.
