>Out Of Network ATM Fees Hit Record Highs
(New York, NY) -- ATM fees have increased for a fourth consecutive year. According to Bankrate, the average out-of-network ATM fees have hit a record high at four-dollars-seventy-seven-cents. On average, banks charge one-dollar-fifty-eight cents when you withdraw cash from an outside ATM. ATM surcharges levied by ATM operators are three-dollars-nineteen cents. ATM owners continued to raise fees on cardholders from other financial institutions who use their machines. The best way to avoid these fees is to make cash withdrawals exclusively at in-network ATMs, or ask for cash back when using a debit card.
