Over 150 soldiers from the Pennsylvania National Guard's 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team are set to be deployed to Germany. The deployment, which will last for a year, is aimed at assisting U.S. Army partners and allies, including facilitating the training of the Ukrainian Army.
The soldiers were honored at a deployment ceremony held at Strickler Field at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday (August 21). The 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team is part of the 28th Infantry Division of the Pennsylvania National Guard.
According to the U.S. Army National Guard, the soldiers are preparing for a year-long mission supporting the Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine. The deployment is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international military cooperation and enhance global security.
