Pennsylvania casinos have reported a combined revenue of over half-a-billion dollars in July, according to numbers released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. This figure includes a significant contribution of over $79 million from Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Grantville, which led all casinos in the state. Hollywood Casino York also reported an impressive revenue of more than $9 million, marking an increase of over 15% from the previous year.
The total revenue generated by Pennsylvania's gambling venues in June 2024 was $471,983,421, marking an increase of 7.15% compared to the revenue generated in June 2023, according to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. The revenue sources regulated by the Board include slot machines, table games, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests, and video gaming terminals (VGTs).
The tax revenue generated from all forms of gaming and fantasy contests in June 2024 was $198,021,772. The Board also reported that the tax revenue generated during the combined Fiscal Year 2023/2024 reached a record level of $2.54 billion, resulting from a record combined revenue generation of over $5.89 billion from various forms of gaming.
